New Maroggia hydropower plant

The project

Between 1996 and 1998, Frosio Next was involved in the realization of the new hydropower plant of Maroggia, dealing with the design and the work supervision of the penstock, the electromechanical equipment and the powerhouse building. In particular, the following activities were carried out:

for penstock: construction design, technical specifications, assistance during tender and work supervision
for electromechanical equipment: technical specifications and assistance during tender
for the powerhouse building: structural design, structural work supervision and assistance during test and commissioning

Frosio Next contribution

In 1996 the Frosio Next team was entrusted with the revision of the original project and the construction design of the penstock. It also followed the subsequent construction phase as work supervisior.

In addition, as electromechanical expert, Frosio Next also took care of the electromechanical equipment elaborating the related technical specifications and providing assistance during tender.

Finally, Frosio Next provided the structural design of the powerhouse building and the structural work supervision during the construction phase.
